Photography is my game…

As a freelance photojournalist rooted in the vast landscapes of the Navajo Nation, my work has found a home in the pages of the Navajo Times, both in print and on the web. Additionally, my contributions have been acknowledged in publications like the Gallup Independent and the Cibola Citizen of Grants, New Mexico.

Specializing in sports photography, I have captured the essence of football, basketball, baseball, and track and field for the Navajo Times. A personal highlight, as of January 2024, includes my coverage of the 2023 New Mexico Bowl, accompanied by a two-part feature on Shiyazh Pete.

Outside of the athletic arena, my appreciation for the outdoors is reflected in a collection of landscape photographs. From the distinctive profile of Shiprock in New Mexico to the timeless beauty of Monument Valley on the Arizona/Utah border and the culturally rich Canyon de Chelly in the heart of Navajo land, my portfolio encapsulates the diverse beauty of the region. In between this diverse tapestry, hundreds of features and landscapes undergo ever-changing compositions throughout the four seasons. I am driven by the desire to capture them all, each frame telling a unique story

Academically, I hold a Master's Degree in Information Systems with a major in computer science from Minot State University in Minot, ND. Since 2019, I've been navigating the intricacies of the Information Technology field, finding solace in photography as a creative outlet.

Beginning my photographic journey in 2019 with a Nikon D3200, my portfolio now features NIKON D3200, D7100, D750, Z6, and Z6II cameras, accompanied by an assortment of lenses. Each photograph is a testament to the pursuit of visual storytelling, transcending technicalities to capture enduring narratives.
